Our doctors are the anchors and leaders of each practice and their view counts the most when it comes to the provision of healthcare. To deliver and sustain consistently high medical care, our leadership team ensure that our doctors are supported with a positive team culture, provided with the appropriate time, technology and non-clinical and nursing staff to excel.

GP-LED RESPIRATORY CLINIC

Loxley Health operated the Inner West GP Respiratory Clinic in Balmain in partnership with the Australian Government Department of Health.

The Clinic assessed people with mild to moderate respiratory symptoms including fever, sore throat, cough, tiredness and shortness of breath. Regardless of whether COVID-19 is indicated or a specimen is taken, the patient will receive clinical guidance and potentially medications for managing their respiratory symptoms.

We regularly assessed very young children and also the elderly with respiratory illness as might normally happen in a general practice.

Since we own multiple medical practices, Loxley Health is well placed to collaborate with healthcare technology innovators.

We evaluate and/or trial digital technologies that we believe may improve the provision of our healthcare services. Our doctors along with our leadership team collaborate in the process.

LOXLEY’S VALUE SYSTEM

Loxley Health embarked on establishing medical practices after discovering two main insights:

The first is that doctors rightly place the majority of their focus on patient care. Beyond this, when they aren’t spending time with their own families or developing their medical expertise they don’t have the time or capacity to take on the necessary tasks of running a business. It became apparent that when these administration tasks were removed, doctors were generally happier, more focused and able to deliver consistently better patient outcomes.

The second is that we observed some large healthcare companies treating doctors as a commodity and consultations as though they are a transaction, and that this model based primarily on accounting principles was beginning to undermine the medical profession.
